How to make cutting board 11.04.2009.
In the beginning I had a idea to make a slightly different end grain cutting board.
One of so called “not-your-normal-cutting board”.
I thought , why must end grain cutting boards be made of right-angled pieces ?
So after some visual thinking :
and jig making :

I started making blanks from oak , birch and unknown ( for me ) wood .
And here they are ,
ready for first glue up .
After first glue up I got this :
And now the slicing :
Now the little pieces are ready for secondary clue up :
And now the secondary clue up :
And finally after lots of sanding and oiling the END GRAIN CUTTING BOARD :
